12 ½ P. M. 10th June, 1864

I have received your letter enclosing the copies of telegrams from General Beauregard. I am glad that the attempt on Petersburg was thwarted and hope our cavalry will be able to protect the railroad.

Everything is quiet on the lines up to this hour and I can discover no movement on the part of the enemy.

Very Respt
