PGBC Senior Prom - Stepping Out In Elegance - August 10th

1822. Jany 29.

From H. Lee to Dr Mayo (fr: original)

Dear Sir,

By reasons of some casualty in its passage I did not recieve your letter of the 8th before the 24th: inst: Where a man is determined not to fail, it is hard to deny that he will succeed. And unless this resolution should be practised against him, I can see no obstacle at which he should reasonably be stopped. I am not apprised of the particular plan you have last adopted and of course can advance no conjecture of its event. Time though I presume has now decided that. I have no Intelligence. Mrs. Lee has been on a visit in Lancaster for some days but will soon be at home. I am charmed with your enthusiasm, & I wish you success and if an oft told tale were not proverbially tedious, I wd say again I shd be very glad to see you as, if you come, I shall try to convince you

Yrs. sincerely,

H. Lee
